Video of 18 Totman Point Rd | Harpswell, Maine real estate and homes

http://www.BaileyIsland.com - Harpwell Maine is geographically within Casco Bay in The Gulf of Maine.

Jusrt a two and a half hour drive to Boston, an hour from the Portland Jetport.

Harpswell adjoins Brunswick Maine, where Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote Uncle Tom’s Cabin, and is the home of Bowdoin College. There is an excellent and very popular summer music theater on the college campus. If you enjoy shopping, you’ll spend a lot of time in nearby Freeport, the home of world famous LL Bean.

Harpswell has about 216 miles of coastline…more than any other town in the United States.  Made up of penisulas and islands, it is composed of Harpswell Neck, a single peninsula on the west.  To the east are three islands joined together by bridges, the most famous of which is The Cribstone Bridge, the only one of its kind left in the world and is on the National Register. In all there are 47 offshore islands making Harpswell an ideal area for boating and exploring.

Some well known people have made Harpswell their home.

Admiral Peary retired in 1911 to his home on Eagle Island. (south of Harpswell Neck) His home is now a Maine State Historic Site and it’s easy to boat to.

Edna St. Vincent Millay had an island summer home a short distance off Bailey Island.
