Video of 228 Wyman Lane | Woodstock, Vermont real estate & homes

http://www.WoodstockProperties.com - This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of Woodstock Vermont’s most prestigious historic estates.

Wyman Hill is one of the largest private tracts of land in close proximity, 5 minutes, to the quintessential Village of Woodstock, with its myriad of art galleries, fine shops, dining options, and performing and cultural arts activities. Minutes from Green Mountain Horse Association as well as world class skiing, golfing and endless recreational opportunities.

This magnificent property includes 172 acres, with vast open and rolling-meadows, extensive hardwood stands and towering pines, stunning long range southerly views of the Green Mountains and a swimming pond, stocked with trout. The extensive four miles of interior carriage trails have been enjoyed for horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking and snow shoeing or cross-county skiing in the winter. The coveted picnic spot atop the open field is a perfect spot to take in the glorious long range views. This property has been thoughtfully protected and conserved with the Vermont Land Trust, an organization dedicated to preserving the rural character and beauty that draws people to Vermont. The open pastures for grazing and miles of riding trails make this an ideal property for the horse enthusiast. At the height of the wooded portion of the land, 360 degree views of the Vermont countryside are enjoyed.

The numerous exterior improvements include substantial land enhancement projects to clear for views and habitat. The residence and new two story drive-through barn with loft, large enough to accommodate six cars, are complimented with elegant landscaping. Expert stone masonry is evidenced in the rebuilt, ancient stone walls lining portions of the nearly one mile of frontage, on both sides of the lightly traveled Wyman Lane.

On-going projects include renovating the old sugar house into a quaint summer sleeping cabin Adirondack style.

In 2010 the residence was completely redesigned, tastefully renovated and appointed to uncompromising standards for the best in country living. During renovations every effort was made to preserve the original craftsmanship. Every piece of timber, door and window was reused. All the magnificent detailed woodwork and original hardware has been recycled back into the house, including original dental molding from the fireplace and the exterior porch pillars, now integral to a new fireplace mantle. The original hand carved raised panel Indian Shutters now grace the master suite as wainscoting. Railroad pine flooring was carefully removed, re-planed and installed on the second floor. Hand stenciled reclaimed wide plank pine floors highlight the country kitchen with elevated fireplace and generous sitting area. The chestnut wood counter island features a 6 burner Viking cook-top and custom pewter and brass vent hood. Side by side Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, Viking double wall ovens, soapstone counters and inset porcelain farmer’s sink will please the most discerning cooking enthusiasts. A separate east facing breakfast room is large enough for the whole family to enjoy a sunny start to the day.

Off the kitchen is a generous pantry and wet bar. The unique dumbwaiter with exposed cast iron wheel and pull rope is a fun and useful method of bringing firewood from the storage area below. The middle gathering room, like the kitchen, is the full width of the house and combines formal dining with informal living and the largest fireplace in the house. The window seats and new closet spaces provide elegant symmetry and purpose. Both the kitchen and middle room have direct access to the outdoor living room which overlooks the swimming pond. Situated on the west side, you and your guests will enjoy dining or relaxing in this column lined Loggia Terrace, with staggered pattern brick floor and dual automatic retractable awnings, another comfortable space to take in the sun setting into the Green Mountains.

The centrally located powder room with reclaimed antique solid marble sink and iron stand separates the center hall from the east side office with fireplace. The west side parlor is cozy, includes a fireplace with original 18th century Delft Tiling and views to Long Hill in South Woodstock.

The master suite is complete! High ceilings and numerous windows fill this sanctuary with light and show off the beautiful grounds and meadow views. The marble tiled bath is exquisite. There are two walk-in closets, a linen closet and laundry facilities and private rear stair case to the kitchen serving the master suite.

There are 3 additional bedrooms on the second floor, two with fireplaces, and one with a sleeping cubby. Sleeping accommodations for fourteen! Beautiful marble showers in three bathrooms on the second floor feature glass enclosures and custom made vanities with artist faux painting.

Video of 16 Pleasant Street | Woodstock, Vermont real estate & homes

http://www.WoodstockProperties.com - Welcome to 16 Pleasant Street in picturesque Woodstock, Vermont.

This historic house is in the heart of the Village within a short walk to shopping, restaurants, the Town Hall Theater and the Woodstock Inn with its new state of the art Spa and golf course just a few minutes away.  The house was built in the early 1830’s and in 2009 was carefully and completely restored by the current owner/builder providing modern amenities while retaining the authenticity of the original home.

The grounds are simply landscaped with low maintenance in mind, achieving lovely colors throughout the seasons - and privacy where needed. The walkway leading up to the front door has been relaid with the original bricks.

The Carriage House was moved to its present location to accommodate 4 contemporary garages in the main house.  The interior is in its original condition.  The walls are bead board which have a lovely patina.  There are two additional garage bays below the two story carriage house.  This building is ideal for guest accommodations as well as party barn!

All exterior walls have been built with stones salvaged from the restoration.

The front patio off the mudroom is very private and quite--a perfect, sunny spot for an early morning cup of coffee along with the newspaper.

The front door leads into the original section of the house.  Bannister and railings are original and have been restored.  The hemlock floors are original.  The owners have salvaged, restored and reused the two mantels, doors, hardware and trim where appropriate.  New moldings and chair rails have been added to enhance the character of the living room and hallways. There is a state of the art audio/visual system throughout. An inherent charm of this house is the way the light moves from morning to afternoon.

The owners chose an open floor plan for the kitchen and dining room as they enjoy entertaining informally.  Most dinners are served buffet style which is enhanced by the warming drawer.  Flooring in this area is Jerusalem Gold limestone and the green granite is Costa Smeralda from the Middle East.  The  kitchen appliances are state of the art and would please a range of cooking skills.  The wet bar includes an ice maker, fridge and wine cooler along with a copper sink.  The heat is radiant as it is throughout the home.

The covered porch was rebuilt and placed to provide sun and privacy.  The bricks are old although not from the original house.  This is an ideal place for lunch as well as an evening cocktail while listening to
the Kedron Brook run by.

In the mudroom there is a walk in pantry with an extra refrigerator, sink and dish washer.  There is also access to the elevator which is wired and can be readied to service three levels. The two upper heated garages are also off the mudroom

The “breakfast room” is in the original section and is ready for a gas fired insert.  This is a lovely sunny room in the morning and cozy in the evenings where the owners most often dine and watch TV.

The second floor guest bedroom is spacious with a private bathroom.  The door to the bathroom is an original door with beautiful etched glass and hardware

There are two additional bedrooms on the third floor.  The half eyebrow windows in the front bedroom add to the charm of this guest room.  Each bedroom has a window seat to perhaps curl up and read on a snowy day. They share a bathroom which has whimsical fish tiles in the spacious shower.

The master suite is located on the second floor.  During the winter months there is a view of the Congregational Church steeple and above that the Mt. Tom star at Christmas time and the cross during Easter. The hallway to the back stairs accommodates the spacious master bath with a large walk in shower and deep soaking tub, two large walk in closets, a laundry room with a linen closet and an office.  Just before reaching the stairs is  the elevator.

The back stairs lead down to the mudroom where access to the lower floor is located.

On the lower floor the owners are in the process of finishing what can be a simple playroom or a state of the art Home Theater with the addition of a few amenities.  There is a wet bar and a powder room along with access to the elevator.  The remaining two heated garages are on this level.

Video of 745 Edson Hill Rd | Stowe, Vermont real estate & homes

http://www.Sharon-Bateman.com - Boulder Spring Farm is a postcard come to life.
It is a cherished home in a treasured town, protected to the West by Mt. Mansfield and Spruce Peak, to the South by Nebraska Notch and the Green Mountain to the south, and to the East by the Worcester Range and Little River Valley.

In this video, you will embark on a tour of this magnificent 7,700-square-foot estate and its surrounding 40+ acres of lush countryside. We will take you on an exploration of the unique features of this great estate. You will find beauty, history, and, we sincerely hope, your new home.

Come tour Boulder Spring Farm  to see for yourself why it is one of the most photographed (and photogenic) estates in Stowe, Vermont.

Nestled atop Edson Hill, Boulder Spring Farm is a pastoral retreat completely in harmony with its bucolic New England surroundings. So named for the bubbling brook that flows from the top of Mount Mansfield and winds itself through the forty acres of the property, the Farm commands two-hundred-and-seventy degree views of the land, mountains, sunshine and stars.

Here, you are at one with nature and its beauty, whether you are sitting cozily inside the main house, walking across the meadow to the oak post-and-beam Barn, or sitting on the dock outside the Pond Cottage taking in the sunset and its shimmering reflection in the waters of the Farm’s four spring-fed ponds.

Built in the style of a Connecticut River Valley Colonial home, the 22-year-old main house brings a colonial past into the contemporary present. The spacious rooms are awash in bright light. Historic details like the Tavern-style kitchen, detailed moldings, carved raised-panel cherry cabinets, and stenciled walls call to mind the storied homes of America’s historic gentry.

That history is firmly rooted and built upon an agrarian society. Thomas Jefferson looked after his own fields and so did Boulder Hill Farm’s earliest owners. This was an active working farm where the Lambert family raised livestock until it was inherited by javelin-throwing Olympian Bill Alley.  Local lore holds that before the farm passed hands to Alley, the Lamberts buried their beloved bull "Hedgerows Maximilian" on the land where he faithfully protected the family's heifers.  Now, deer pay homage to him at dawn and dusk when they dance among the grasses he used to graze.

There are multiple rooms for family gatherings and quiet nights alike.  The Garden room allows you to immerse yourself in the light and warmth of the sun's rays.  Speaking of the sun, a screened in porch brings you one step closer to nature, giving you a view onto the raised bed vegetable gardens - an excellent perch from which to monitor the progress of your botanical efforts.

The Piano Room or the Den can be the perfect spot to enjoy the warmth of a crackling fire.  The Piano Room features a masonry fireplace with a flamed granite hearth, polished granite surround and double crown moldings.

The first floor Master Suite commands views on three sides where you can watch the sun and moon rise over the Worcester Mountains and set over Mt. Mansfield.

The elegance of the formal Dining Room is accentuated by the magnificently detailed and historic stenciling work of internationally known artist David Wiggins.

The spacious Tavern style kitchen brings together old world charm with the ease of modern conveniences.  A large fireplace and hearth invites both the homeowners and their guests to cluster in the kitchen for nibbles and conversation.  Boulder Spring Farm's modern chef can enjoy preparing dishes on an expansive granite countertop with everything at his or her fingertips.  The fireplace in the kitchen makes for four fireplaces at the Farm, the other are found in the Den, Piano Room, and Guest Suite.

The Main House boasts wood floors in cherry and pine.  A romantic winding staircase, one of the many architectural details of a traditional Connecticut River Valley Colonial home, brings you upstairs to the three large guest rooms as well as the luxurious master suite.  Each is a canvas for the imagination.

Sometimes we all need a getaway from our getaway.  Open the swing door to Boulder Spring Farm's barn to enter a 40' x 60' space that is just the place for a workshop, office or studio.
At the edge of the lower pond is the aptly named Pond Cottage, a retreat that offers total privacy as well as a living room with a fireplace, an adjoining kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.  This cozy enclave is the place to pen a novel by morning's early light, take a catnap in the afternoon sun, or watch one's children giggle and splash as they jump from the dock into the fresh pond water.
