Located just 20 miles south of Boston, the town of Norwell is located in Plymouth County, situated along the picturesque North River.
Norwell was originally settled in 1636 as part of the settlement of Scituate, and still retains much of it's past rural character.
Shipbuilding was a major industry from the 1700s to the early 1800s. Some of the finest frigates, schooners and merchant vessels to ever sail were actually produced in Norwell.
Today, Norwell is an affluent suburban community with over 10,000 residents and provides modern schools, shopping, churches, libraries and health facilities, as well as a wild life preserve.
Norwell offers several recreational areas providing a variety of outdoor activities. This beautiful hom actually borders on conservation land. Situated off the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, this stunning 5.2 acre retreat offers a great deal of privacy, but still offers neighborhood living.

Nashua, New Hampshire Winter Holiday Stroll
Courtesy of Rudy Mayer, Your Southern NH Realtor - A tradition since 1993, the Nashua Winter Holiday stroll takes place on the Saturday evening following Thanksgiving.
This year's them, "Traditions of the Season" was selected to honor the abundant and diverse customs celebrated by the residents of New Hampshire.
Much of Nashua's quaint, historic downtown is closed to traffic for the evening, welcoming nearly 30,000 people from all across New England, who participate in the tradition that starts off with a candelit walk from City Hall up to Library Hill, where the city's Christmas tree is lit for the first time.
Strollers wander up and down the streets sampling over 50 different artistic and cultural performances including dancing, theatre, music and the carving of the ice sculptures.
One can sample offerings from the street vendors, dine in downtown's fine restaurants and do holiday shopping at the many unique boutiques, shops and specialty stores that line the main street and sidestreets of downtown Nashua, many of which remain open late for the festivities.
In keeping with the holiday spirit, the Winter Holiday Stroll also features a collection at City Hall where strollers can drop off items such as canned goods, disposable diapers and new, unwrapped toys for local charitable organizations.
This event is sponsored by Great American Downtown, a non profit organization that works to provide partnerships and collaborations that unify the entire city of Nashua around a common vision for an attractive, vibrant downtown.

31 Pond Street, Cohasset Massachusetts real estate
Cohasset, Massachusetts is the quintessential New England seaside village, and it's located just 21 miles south of Boston.
The quaint, well protected harbor is beautiful and dotted with many lobster boats and pleasure craft in the summer. The view of Minot's lighthouse and the rocky "Gold Coast" on a spectacular late fall day is a real treat, but now the harbor is very quiet and tranquil, as most boats have been put to bed for the winter.
The highly rated Cohasset school system consists of a middle school and a high school. Cohasset is a highly academic community as 90% of graduates go on to post-secondary education. The average class size is only 22 students.
Just down the street from these schools is this newly constructed home - ready to occupy - in the heart of the village. It's convenient location in the village makes this a standout - walk to the schools, the harbor, the library, the arts center, shopping, restaurants - it's all right here!
This New England shingle and stone colonial boasts 4,100 square feet of living space.
The spacious foyer is awash in sunlight. The elegant front to back living and dining room is accented by a large fireplace - the perfect antidote for our beautiful New England winters.
The chef in the family will be pleased with this spacious and well equipped eat in kitchen. Granite, hardwood and stainless steel accent the beautiful cabinetry. A wine cooler and a wet bar are just a few of the luxury appointments in this kitchen.
And of course, for entertaining, the kitchen flows nicely into the spacious family fireplaced family room. And in the warmer months, the entertaining easily extends outdoors via the multiple French doors leading to the large deck.
This front room could easily function as a study or sitting room.
Moving upstairs, you will find 4 or 5 bedrooms, including the spacious master bedroom with an attached bathroom with a hot tub and double vanity.
The roughed third floor is ready for an office, home theatre, game room or a sixth bedroom - there's plenty of space.
And if that's not enough room for expansion, this walkout lower level is perfect for a media room, exercise room or playroom, and can be finished off for $30K-50K including a full bathroom.

Plenty of thought and good taste has gone into the design and construction of this entire property which includes a luxurious cedar shake home overlooking a year round brook and a pond with hot tub on the deck, a screened in porch and so much more. Items like stamped concrete floors, the Travertine slab shower, black marble counters, mahogany, pine, custom made shelves...it ALL comes together seamlessly in this fine property that while luxurious, is also VERY down to earth!
Close to other horse properties and near Peterborough NH voted one of the "coolest small towns in America" in 2008 by Budget Travel Magazine and home to the MacDowell Colony of artists including alum such as Aaron Copeland and Leonard Bernstein...I.M Pei has won awards for his architectural achievements there...Also there is a "Children's Day in the Arts" and of course the Peterborough Players summer theatre group and the the Monadnock Lyceum lecture series. Fall foliage season brings maple syrup and everything "New England" to this well preserved part of our income tax and sales tax free State!

Chebeague Island, Maine Real Estate for sale
Isn't it time to relax? This is THE spot. Located on the ocean side of Chebeauge Island, this 1,167 square foot home with 4 bedrooms, with access to the ocean and dramatic views out to the Atlantic and outer islands. Swim or float in the cove at high tide or from one of the many sandy beaches on the island.
Walk to the boatyard or watch the sailboats and lobster boats go by from the beautiful lawn. The ideal spot for BBQs, lunch at the picnic table or just communing with nature, the ocean and a good book.
The parade of sailboats and working lobster boats will transport you! Shower inside or out!
The open kitchen is spacious and bright, and the family room with it's wall of windows and Gleaming hardwood floors features ocean views.
Beaches are a ten minute walk away.
Chebauge Island, located 10 miles off the coast of Portland, is more Maine than an LL Bean catalogue, complete with rocky beaches, gravelly walking paths lined with wildflowers, and lobsterman at the docks with the fresh catch of the day.
Take a 15 minute ferry across Casco Bay from Cousins Island near Yarmouth, or a 90 minute leisurely ferry from Portland.
Approximately 5 miles long and 3 miles wide, Chebeague Island is the largest of over 300 islands on Casco BAY.
It is a great bicycle island with many miles of paved roads. Things look pretty much the same on Chebeague Island today as they did throughout the last century. Streets have no names, and everyone knows each other, their kids and even their dogs.
About 300 people live on the island year around, either fishing or servicing the fishing village. That number swells to about 1800 in the summer.
The Chebeague Island Inn, a beautifully restored 1920s hotel, where guests enjoy cool nights and front porch days.
The Great Chebeague Golf Club is adjacent to the inn, and is a public 9 hole golf course with ocean views at every hole.
The recreation center features a gym, fitness room, a public tennis court and a public heated swimming pool, plus hosts a spirited volleyball game every Wednesday.
The Museum of Chebeague History, Built in 1871, this once schoolhouse captures the deep roots of the island. Much of the island's history unfolds here with a historical view of the artwork and artifacts on display.
The view from Indian Point, known as "The Hook" overlooks Little Chebeague Island.

Hollis, New Hampshire Old Home Days 2008
One of the most popular traditions in Hollis, New Hampshire is Old Home Days, which is held on a weekend during September.
There is often an Old Home Day Dance the Friday night before that is very popular with students on Nichols Field. There are often carnival rides and attractions set up the night of the dance in preparation for the following day. On Old Home Day itself, there are dozens of booths and pavilions set up like traditional New England fairs, including old-fashioned games, animal demonstrations, live music, and plenty of food. Many of the pavilions are sponsored by local organizations, schools, and teams. Weather permitting, there are often hot air balloon rides and an evening "balloon glow" where the balloons are grounded and lit up from the inside. The day concludes with a fireworks show.

21 Moon Hill Road, Lexington, Massachusetts contemporary real estate for sale
Original and Very Rare “Moon Hill” home for sale. Call to inquire about this exquisite setting, tastefully maintained, 7 Bedroom, 3.5 Bath home. In 1948 seven young architects set out to build their homesteads and the ideal community. Among the rock out croppings, majestic Oak and Pine trees. The original founders of “Moon Hill” created their “Genuine Neighborhood”. Now it’s your turn to enjoy the lifestyle which emanates from the “Cooperative Spirit” created in 1948 by W. Gropius and friends.
Moon Hill is a residential community dwelling that was designed by The Architects' Collaborative (TAC) and is located in Lexington, Massachusetts.
Originally conceived in 1947 to house the young architects of TAC, Six Moon Hill has now grown to 29 housing lots, the most recent of which was completed in 2004. To build the community, TAC established a nonprofit corporation and bought 20 acres on which to build. It took the name from the six antique Moon Motor Car automobiles the previous owner had stored on the property.
The first houses were designed and built in a modernistic way. The method of design was rectangular, flat-roofed, timber-sided homes, which was typical for residences designed by TAC. The houses are situated on a sloping hill lining a small road that forms a cul-de-sac.
Six Moon Hill runs as a consensus-based, collective community in which each member family pays dues and is concerned with community issues. Among the original architects (and residents) were Benjamin C. Thompson, Norman C. Fletcher, Jean B. Fletcher, John C. Harkness, Sarah P. Harkness, Robert S. McMillan, Louis A. McMillen and Richard S. Morehouse. Other notable residents include Nobel chemist Konrad Bloch, Nobel physicist Samuel C.C. Ting, Dr. Thomas C. Chalmers (past president of the Mount Sinai Medical Center), Wallace E. Howell (New York City's first official rainmaker), Robert Newman (co-founder of Bolt Beranek and Newman) and John C. Sheehan, the first chemist to synthesize penicillin.
The most recent house is dubbed the "big dig house" as it is built from remnant construction material used in the Big Dig, Boston's recent central artery and tunnel project. Owner Paul Pedini, a vice president at the Big Dig's biggest contractor, Modern Continental envisioned the house as a conglomerate of such material as concrete roadway decking and spare rebar. Designed by Boston firm, Single Speed Design, the house is noted for being environmentally friendly and energy-efficient, and won a Metropolis award for innovative design.
